Geelong Handrails was engaged to design, fabricate, and install 191 linear metres of DDA-compliant stainless steel ramp handrails across the entry precinct of Altona Memorial Park — one of Melbourne's most significant memorial spaces.
All handrails were fabricated in 316-grade stainless steel with a satin finish, meeting AS 1428.1:2021 compliance requirements. A standout feature of the project was the integration of custom LED channel lighting into the underside of the handrails, coordinated with the project's electrical contractors. The full scope - design, fabrication, and installation - was delivered within a four-week programme.
